Our Physical Education (PE) program supports students to make decisions to enhance their health, safety and participation in physical activity. Your child will explore active participation in games and sports which build self-confidence and physical skills. Students will build valuable teamwork and group participation skills, focussing on communication, decision making and problem-solving through games and movement.
Your child will develop as a composer and performer of music and song, exploring and responding to creative works and having fun. Students grow to understand our cultural and social connections to music enhancing a joyful life in our school and community. We perform in concerts, the Catholic Schools Music Festival, ukulele, and band events.
The Japanese programme aims to develop your child's ability to communicate in basic Japanese. This involves the four micro-skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Japanese presents some unique challenges with three alphabets to master! The Japanese culture is particularly rich and unique and an integral part of the curriculum. Language and culture are inextricably linked, so we focus on appropriateness of different forms of the language to suit the social situation. We hope that our students will develop a love for language learning through fun and engaging activities and develop cultural awareness as they strengthen their role as global citizens.
